Oakridge and Oakridge Estates Mobile Auto Detailing Calgary

Oakridge is a Car Lover’s paradise with its large parks and reservoir which can serve as backdrops to your newly detailed Car!

Oakridge lies directly south of Glenmore Reservoir, at the southwest edge of the City. In addition to providing a scenic and recreational feature, the reservoir has an extensive shoreline. There are many recreational features in the area, such as boat docks, pathways and hiking trails in Weaselhead Flats, Glenmore Park and Heritage Park. In a peninsula from Glenmore Lake, Heritage Park Historical Village offers tourists and locals alike a major destination for recreation. From 1956 to 1960, Oakridge was governed by the Municipal District of Rockyview, which was subsequently annexed to Calgary. The neighborhood developed mainly as single-family homes during the 1970s.

Located in Calgary’s southwest quadrant is Oakridge, a residential neighbourhood. North of 90 Avenue S, east of 24 Street W, and west of the Tsuu T’ina first nation reserve are some of the neighbourhood’s boundaries. A natural area and Glenmore Reservoir are both to the north of it.

The median household income in this community was $72,674 in 2000, and 6.9% of residents lived in low-income households.  The condominiums and apartments make up 1.8% of the total buildings, and 8.4% of the housing is rented.

There is a public school serving the community, Louis Riel Elementary & Junior High, which has a Science Program as well as the GATE Program.

Oakridge has many facilities to support an active lifestyle, and is a beautiful community. Call Mobile Auto Detailing Calgary so you don’t have to spend your time cleaning your car.

Our top priority is keeping Oakridge residents informed about their community. We publish Your Oakridge Echo regularly to keep the content current and relevant. This newsletter covers community news. All residents are familiar with the most important community information after it is delivered to their homes, apartments, and businesses.

There is a not-for-profit corporation called Oakridge Community Association. A portion of all revenues goes to the Association, which in turn provides opportunities for programs. Volunteers and staff work together to run Oakridge Community Association events and programs. Besides the general manager, the board oversees the day-to-day operations and administration of the facility. Membership fees and facility rentals fund the operation of Oakridge Community Association. Capital is provided for facility maintenance and improvement through a variety of grants. Board meetings take place monthly with the exception of July and August, and the Annual General Meeting takes place in September. The public is welcome to attend all meetings. Bylaws of Oakridge Community Association require that individuals who wish to participate in meeting discussions must be members of the association or have been invited by the president.

The Oakridge Racquet Club (ORC) is owned and operated by Oakridge Community Association. A newly formed ORC committee oversees its operations while the Association runs it.

Orc offers outdoor tennis and pickleball, tennis interclubs and indoor squash through its Community Association. A major part of ORC involves tennis during the summer.

A summer membership to ORC is required in order to participate in the Summer Tennis Program. Oakridge Community members who do not own a full ORC membership may schedule court times.
